Tension creator, Ninja Warrior, one half of the Grin Reapers podcast, Mr Chris White chats their new entertainment extravaganza.
Are you able to flesh out what the ” Up in Joke” tour us all about?
CW: It’s basically a 2 hour live performance with Tension, skits and stand up comedy intertwined like you’ve never seen before. It’s edgy, politically incorrect and we’re confident that the people attending will walk away with smiles on their faces.
What was the original inspiration behind the event?
The guy I do the Grin Reapers Podcast with, has got into stand up and has run a few comedy shows so he had the idea to combine a lot of the guests we’ve had on, my old style of movies and bunch of comedian friends into one big show.
The announcement outlines a” Tension reunion with some history and some new stuff”, can you elaborate on this?
We don’t want to give away too much, but the humour and vibe on the night will be consistent with the Tension series. Expect the unexpected.
Any booging royalty you can tease or confirm that will be in attendance?
Yeah The old band is back together with Hughes and Chad, and some new generation shredders are also part of it like Stoney and the Three Amigos. (Lewy, Davis and George).
What other entertainment will be involved in the night?
Some celebrity appearances from past podcast guests, interactive audience stuff with Whose Rhyme and much more

It’s on sale now at Ticketek, seats are limited and early indications are it’s gonna be a sell out so we’re pretty excited.
It’s on Friday 27th August at the Regal Theatre, where a lot of the old school Tension fans will remember! I’m not expecting to be signing boobs this time round but we’re bringing the heat anyway. It’s the bye weekend in the AFL so hopefully we can put on a memorable show for Perth!!!
